About the Event:
Now in its 23rd year, the Cameron Park Show N’ Shine & Fly- In has become an exciting, major community event, attracting over 2,500 visitors in 2010. Production is a collaborative effort between Soroptimist of Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park Rotary to fund a wide range of community programs and projects. Through the years, it has expanded to attract more members of the community and enthusiasts of airplanes and vintage cars.
In 2010, over 20 vintage aircraft and 250 classic cars were displayed and judged in several categories by a panel of judges. In addition to the cars and planes, over forty-five community organizations, sponsors and vendors lent their support. Cameron Park Fire Department, local Boy Scout troops, the Ponderosa High School Marching Band, Civil Air Patrol, Shingle Springs Chamber of Commerce and Cameron Park Fire Department Explorer Post all participated in the day-long event. Cameron Park Rotary’s Team Pancake served over 200 hungry visitors earning the Ponderosa High School Interact Club nearly $1,000 for their activities.
